Mostly because I have the motoric of a cucumber and thus am not suited for video games with more action (except those who involve simple clicking, such as diablo 2 or can be beat by button-mashing). Also I just love this mixture of riddles and storytelling, together with (depending on the game) more or less stunning visuals.
This week I finished two: One that made me snicker all the way through and cry at the end... and I don´t cry that often concerning games, movies and such... and one that just simply made me gaze in awe and made me smile like a child does. Both of them I purchased myself and I´m not a bit sorry for the money spent.
For those who like them just as much as I do, those are the two titles which I strongly recommandate:
The whispered world
(negative aspects: it has a rather annoying not-mini-game you have to play before you can start every time, to save it from being copied)
Price: Amazon says 10 euro, I got it for 20, I think. Was still worth it
Drawn, the painted tower
(negative aspects: it´s very short, the cutscenes are rather cheap, still, but there are few, it also has a tendency to crash down (but autosaves))
Price: Amazon says 5 euro
So, what are your favorite video games? (Point-and-click or not)
