to battle!

when I deal with a theme or a subject matter for a long time, e.g. by reading about it or thinking about it, it usually ends up in some kind of story or a picture. Latter was the case here

Inspired by the "eschergirls" tumblr (--> [link]) that deals with women in comics being drawn in ridiculous poses and ways, sacrificing story and character for teh sexy, I decided to try and draw a ass-kicking and sexy warrior myself, since I need experience with drawing fighting scenes anyway.

I took the pose from a tennis-player, but replaced the bat with an axe because I just frickin love axes <3 The face is based off a model called "Emily Fox", because the name is AWESOME... erm... but the similarities faded quite quickly when I altered her expression.

I planned to do a super heroine, but I ended up medieval-ish with more and more armor I added. It´s a leather armor btw, since I imagined someone who fights with an axe to need flexibility.
